Spiral Wire Wrap Tubing
Spiral wire wrap tubing makes quick and easy work of organizing wires, cables, and hoses for an unlimited number of applications—and also enhances protection to hoses, wires, and tubing by providing an additional layer that can resist abrasion. Spiral wrap is a unique manufactured product constructed from Polyethylene, Fire-Resistant Polyethylene, Nylon or PTFE. Material choice is determined by your application requirements, but all spiral wire wrap features a precise angular cut for expanding and wrapping around wires and cables.
Spiral Wire Wrap Materials
-
Polyethylene spiral cable wrap comes in a variety of colors, such as natural, black, blue, brown and green, among others. Ultraviolet-resistant (UV resistant) black Polyethylene cable wrap has ultraviolet absorbing properties that permit the polyethylene spiral wire wrap to be used outdoors in direct sunlight for long periods of time. The maximum operating temperature is 190°F, 88°C. The minimum temperature is -76°F, -60°C. These temperatures are to be used as guidelines only.
-
Fire-Resistant Polyethylene spiral wire wrap is available in White or Black and is suitable for applications requiring a self-extinguishing material. Maximum operating temperature is 176°F, 80°C & minimum operating temperature is -4°F, -20°C. These temperatures are to be used as guidelines only.
-
Nylon spirally cut tubing is self-extinguishing and does not produce any toxic or irritating byproducts, even when exposed to an open flame or excessive operating temperatures. Nylon cable and wire wrap is recommended for use in enclosed environments where the possibility of fire exists. This material is also lightweight, highly abrasion-resistant, and operates over a wide temperature range. Available in Natural and Black. RoHS Compliant. Maximum operating temperature is 250 °F, 121 °C & minimum operating temperature is -40 °F, -40 °C. These temperatures are to be used as guidelines only.
-
PTFE (PTFE, Polytetrafluoroethylene) spirally cut tubing features the widest operating temperature range of any material and can be used from -450 °F to +500 °F. Chemically inert and non-flammable. PTFE spiral cable wrap has a flammability rating of UL VW-1. The standard color is Natural. Black and other colors available. RoHS Compliant. These temperatures are to be used as guidelines only.
Spiral wire wrap is available in forward or reverse cut and can be manufactured to match the pitch, diameter, wall thickness, color and length to meet very precise application requirements.
